In The Name of Our Children Vigil:

A Vigil for Ceasefire and Remembrance

Location: Washington Square Park, New York City
Date: December 20th
Time: Gather at 4:00 pm

This vigil is more than a gathering; it is a powerful expression of solidarity among thousands of women, mothers, and families. Our collective presence and the signatures on the ceasefire petition to the Biden administration and Congress are testaments to our shared belief in a world free from war and the attainability of peace. We aim to gather 5,000 signatures by December 20th to send a resounding message to Washington D.C.: women and mothers stand united for peace.

Participants, advocating for peace and freedom, are encouraged to wear black clothing as a symbol of solidarity. Please bring white candles and white flowers as symbols of peace and hope.

In a powerful display of SOLIDARITY, women leaders nationwide, encompassing various sectors, have signed a letter titled: “In The Name of our Children: A Call for Peace in Gaza.”

We demand immediate U.S. government action to enforce Cease Fire. Furthermore, we call for an end to the allocation our our tax dollars to pay for a war that kills children and perpetuates policies of violence and division which have clearly made no one safe.

We implore you to redirect our nation’s resources toward fostering peace and stability. Our tax dollars should fund initiatives that build bridges, not deepen divides.

CALL CONGRESS AND DEMAND CEASEFIRE NOW: 202-224-3121
